Although we’re a tad doubtful the vast majority of you PS3 owners set out to convert your gaming console into a grill, apparently more than a few have done so in Japan, or else they just get a kick out of dousing their banbanji in Sony sauce. Although the translation here is loose, it looks like a gimmicky t-shirt manufacturer in Japan felt like mocking the so-called Sony Emmy by actually naming a condiment after it, which if not a joke, would actually be fairly flattering. Anywho, the sauce sports a clever label celebrating the faux SIXAXIS award, as well as picturing the PS3 Grill and coming in both 20GB (small) and 60GB (large) varieties. Additionally, the 20GB size is marked down to ¥399 ($3.28) from the MSRP of ¥499, while the 60GB bottle sports an “open price,” but should go for ¥599 ($4.92). It doesn’t look like a smattering of these sauces were produced, though, so you’d best phone your loyal friend(s) in Japan to head out and snag you one if you’re so inclined, but for those holding off, be sure to hit the read link for a bevy of detailed pics.

Update: We wished we’d spent 30 seconds trying to remember what we learned in Japanese class in college, but our colleages at the Tokyo bureau were happy to school us. The product is a pun on the word “source,” since “source” and “sauce” are pronounced roughly the same way (soh-soo) in Japanese.

This special Chaos Autonomous Robot comes with four treaded limbs attached to a flat, rectangle body. Its physical makeup enables the Chaos Robot to move around on both flat and uneven surface without any problem. It looks more like a turtle than anything else when traversing through uneven terrain though. Some of the practical uses include recon missions and search and rescue in difficult areas. Check out the Chaos Autonomous Robot video here. It is apparently strong enough to pull a couple of people standing atop it and a Hummer as well. If that’s not an impressive display of strength, I don’t know what is.

Talk about a unique iPod accessory - Thinklabs have conjured up a stethoscope recording package that works with a 2GB iPod nano, the XtremeMac MicroMemo iPod recording unit, and a ds32a Digital Stethoscope. This setup enables physicians to record and playback heart sounds despite being in less than ideal conditions (read: noisy). If you aren’t up for recording heartbeats, you can always disconnect the stethoscope and use it for general recording purposes. The entire kit will set one back by $495 (iPod nano included).

What better way to market a waterproof cellphone than to dunk it into a full bathtub along with a hottie? That is exactly what Fujitsu did with the F703i cellphone at a press conference, making the handset ring while everyone else was too busy watching the model wash herself. In addition, the F703i can also be washed under a tap, which means you no longer have to kiss your handset goodbye when it drops down the toilet bowl. I wonder why can’t companies create waterproof Bluetooth headsets instead - this way, you can store your cellphone in a safe, dry place while you scrub away during a conversation. There is no word on when the F703i will be available and how much it will cost.
